Why should I choose to send my child to Ovation?
Ovation Dance is a small studio with a big family atmosphere. All of the instructors truly care about their students and understand the responsibility of shaping our student’s lives in a positive way. Our studio offers classes multiple styles and we cater to both the recreational and serious student. We also offer a fantastic central location with 2 dance studios, one with a professional Sprung Hardwood dance floor, and the other with a professional Marley floor. We also have an additional Loft Style studio with a professional Sprung Hardwood dance floor located right above to the Orpheum Theater!
What types of dance/activities do you offer?
Each semester has a different set of classes offered. We offer Pre-dance, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary/Modern, Tumbling, Acrobatics, Adult classes, and Tiny Dancers classes. Plus all of our classes our CO-ED!
What age do you begin teaching?
Most classes begin with children who are 3. Students must be potty trained and be secure enough to not have a parent present in the room. Our Tiny Dancers dance classes are for children 2-3 years and is a non-performing class.
How do I register my child? Is there a deadline for registration or is it ongoing?
Students should register according to their age group. Age range is listed under each class description. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 208-572-5523 if you have any questions as to your child's placement. The best way to register is online at https://dancestudio-pro.com/online/index.php?account_id=5613
Registration is ongoing throughout the Fall/Spring Sessions. After the 2nd week of semester classes teachers may elect to close registration in their classes.
Do you offer any tuition payment plans or discounts?
Discounts are already included in our pricing however we do offer some promotional discounts throughout the year. We offer a 10% discount if tuition for the semester is paid in full within the first week of semester classes. Refer a friend to Ovation Dance! If they pay registration and first month’s tuition, you receive $25 credit towards your account and so do they! *Must be a new student to Ovation Dance
When do classes begin and end?
Our classes are split up into two sessions. Fall Session begins late August and ends early December. Our Spring Session begins early January and ends in May. We also hold a Summer semester that runs for 6 weeks.
Do you have performance opportunities?
Yes, Winter and Spring Showcases. We may also be invited to perform at local events. Specific dates and venues will be announced as soon as information is available.
What is the best way for me to know of any important announcements?
Ovation Dance communicates primarily through email so it is ESSENTIAL that you check your email frequently. We also post announcements at the studio, in our online monthly newsletter, on Facebook, on the website and occasionally send paper notes home when possible. It is your responsibility to read all emails from Ovation Dance, so you can stay informed of the latest news and information.
Why do I have to pay the same tuition each month when some months, classes are not held due to Christmas break, spring break and other holidays? Why do I have to pay a recital fee? Is it included in the tuition?
Tuition is calculated by the semester and then divided by the amount in each semester taking into account five week months, all holidays and breaks. The recital fee pays for the venue rental, programs, the light and sound technicians, etc. This fee is included in your tuition.
Do you offer make up classes for classes that are canceled due to unforeseen circumstances such as snow days?
Yes, if class is cancelled we will notify each class of alternate class times they can attend during the week to make up for the canceled class.
Can I watch classes?
Especially in the case of younger students, parents are asked to refrain from observing or “peeking” in on classes as this might frighten younger dancers or distract others who are easily distracted by an “audience”. Parents may observe class from our waiting room on our Television monitors.
Do you have a dress code? What about costumes?
We do have a dress code. Students who sign up will receive paperwork and a website with options of what they may wear and items that will be needed for performances. If you wish to purchase elsewhere you may do so as long as it is the same style dancewear/shoes. Costumes are required for each performing class taken and are to be worn at all performances.
What are your Ovation Dance Companies?
Company dancers come to our studio anywhere from 3-5 days a week during the dance season. This is a program that requires multiple dance technique and Company classes. This program is for the more serious dancer, who has chosen dance over all other extracurricular activities. Company is by invitation only, however new students may request to audition by emailing email@example.com.
Do you offer adult classes?
We would be very happy to offer more classes to adults given enough interest. If you are interested, please let us know and we can consider offering more adult classes.
The opportunity for my kids to dance at Ovation Dance has been the best thing we could have done for them. The instruction is stellar, they are caring and kind but also willing to push the students to be their best and expect excellence. From the pre-K level to teenage competitive dance they have been wonderful and I feel so lucky my family has joined the Ovation Dance family. Check them out! ~ Susie K.
My boys have always loved to dance but we were unable to find a studio that was able to include boys and support their growth in technique and confidence. I am so grateful that we found a home in Ovation Dance as they do all of those things and more! ~ Ana C.
Great group of people running this dance, program we love it! ~ Jessica K.
LOVE is not a strong enough word. Not only do they teach my daughter proper dance technique and terminology, the instructors at Ovation have helped her truly believe in herself; not only as a dancer, but as a person. She comes out of class absolutely glowing. Ovation is THE BEST.
~ Jaime B.
Miss Kiah and her team are amazing! My kids love their classes!~ Emily J.

"Ovation has really helped me grow and learn as a dancer. I couldn't have asked for a better start in my career of dancing. I absolutely love Ovation!"
- Vivian M.
"Thank you for your professionalism on a great showcase even though my daughter in combo 2 kept giving me the thumbs up ;) "
"Ovation Dance has been an amazing experience for both of my sons. Twin Falls isnt exactly the place to embrace male dancers and Ovation Dance has embraced my boys to be the best that they can be! The staff at Ovation has been nothing but encouraging and helpful since we started there in 2015!"
- Mike C.
Ovation Dance, they are amazing. While they do have a recital at the end of their semester, my son never feels pressured or anything if he messes up. They are all about praising them for their hard work and doing their best. Plus, I feel like I'm 100% getting what I pay. It's an actual class setting where they learn and the teachers keep them structured and on track.
